The 8th International Conference on Children’s Bone Health took place on 10-13 June 2017 in Würzburg, Germany. The meeting was attended by over 400 delegates from over 40 countries and received over 250 abstract submissions - this is a truly thriving area!
Thank you to all who came and to everyone who supported the meeting.
We hope to see you again for the next ICCBH in summer 2019!
Details of the next ICCBH meeting will be announced in autumn 2017.
Congratulations to our 2017 award winners, some of whom are pictured below:
ICCBH meetings provide an international forum for the presentation and discussion of current basic and clinical science in the field of bone metabolism and bone mass in children, adolescents and young adults.
We were extremely saddened to hear of the recent death of Professor Judy Adams from Manchester, UK. Judy passed away on 30 September 2017 after a short illness. Judy was an enthusiastic supporter of ICCBH and her presence at our meetings will be greatly missed.
She was a pioneer in the development and application of bone densitometry in children and adults, with her work resulting in one of the first and largest UK reference datasets in children, which has transformed paediatric practice in the UK.
For more about Judy please see the obituary on the Bone Research Society website.
